My First Day

I am really great at setting goals and wanting to get things done but I am really lame at following through on them and seeing them completed. I am hoping a public check off list of things I really want to see get done will help motivate me to try new things and get old things completed.

I am celebrating my 29th birthday in a few days and am overwhelmed at how quickly the last 10 years has passed. My hubby and I started dating 10 years ago, got married, had a few kids, moved, moved, and moved again. We had jobs, changed jobs, had cars, crashed cars, got new cars and have met and made lots of friends, forgot friends, made new friends and I'm sure made some enemies along the path somewhere. We've rented apartments and houses, bought houses, sold houses and landscaped everywhere. We've laughed, fought, loved, cried, hugged, morned and rejoiced more times than I can ever remember. Together we've started a family and a home and life together. We are only still in the tender stages of it as our family is young and I know before long it will be me looking back and wondering where 60 years has gone, instead of just a measly 10.

So, with that being said, I'd really hate to be 89 and have regrets about not getting involved or doing things that I've always wanted to do just because they just never get planned. I'm only going to be young once and 89 certainly isn't the age to suddenly decide it's a great time to going skydiving or get a tattoo for the first time! Let the goals begin!
